Why relational therapy?

Often, we learn, grow, heal, and begin to thrive when we feel cared for in relationship. I believe life can feel incredibly difficult and that in seasons that require additional support, hard work, and perseverance therapy can be a valuable tool. My approach is relational and embodied; working with me has been described as feeling warm, open, and honest. I bring a great deal of curiosity and tend to ask brave questions. I am open to learning within the relationship, acknowledging that I am the position of “carer”, and tend to organize this learning into an exploratory map in my mind.

One of the ways therapy can create change is through intentional listening and witnessing. Therapy is a unique relationship that observes both the narrative and the patterns behind the narrative, having conversations surrounding those patterns in the quest for discovery, often leading to change.
